Geoffrey Tankard was a British composer, conductor and highly esteemed educator at the Royal College of Music and later in Bermuda. His seminal work, Pianoforte Technique on an Hour a Day, has remained an touchstone of Piano technical study since its appearance in 1960. In Specimen Answers, Tankard does not attempt to give answers for memorization, but rather to offer some possible answers for consideration.
