"Leaning on the Everlasting Arms”, “Faith of Our Fathers”, “Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine”, and "O God, Our Help in Ages Past”. The unifying theme, as the title suggests, is faith in God. All of it is fairly upbeat, except for the first verse of “O God, Our Help in Ages Past”. That verse is slow and plain, as a setup for contrast with the verse to follow. That last verse makes heavy use of an eighth-note descant line that causes it to seem significantly faster than it otherwise would.
